Mario Gallina L.Ac., CMTPT is a California state licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) and certified myofascial trigger point therapists (CMTPT) who has a clinical focus on treating chronic and acute pain, sports injuries, repetitive stress injuries, musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions.

He has over two decades of experience and has developed a nuanced approach utilizing myofasical trigger point therapy and acupuncture along with a host of different skills to assist in his patients relief and providing long lasting results.

Mario co-founded the San Francisco Acupuncture Group in 2009 in the heart of the financial district. Additionally, he was the lead acupuncturist at an onsite health center at a Cupertino-based tech company headquarters.

He received a certificate in myofascial trigger point therapy (dry needling) from Myopain Seminars.

In addition to being a California state licensed acupuncturist, holds a Master’s in traditional Chinese medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Lastly, he has a certificate in Tui Na and in traditional Chinese medicine Orthopedics from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
